Kattfoto på Susannes bokAwwww, don’t you want to cuddle them?  I sure did!  After visiting Susanne and her Brittish Shorthair cats I totally wanted to bring home a kitten (or 3).  This was a couple of years ago, and I was there to take some pictures of Susanne for her to use on Facebook and in her marketing.  While she was changing outfits, I entertained myself by playing with her kittens.

I got the camera set right then held it with one hand while waving a fishing-pole style cat toy with the other.  I’ll have to admit that the rest was luck!

Susanne’s late husband was a photographer who specialized in animals, so she has access to plenty of cat pictures for her books.  When choosing pictures to suggest to her publisher for the cover of her new book, on a whim, she included this one.  Surprise!  I think she was almost a little embarrassed when she called me after the fact to make sure it was okay to use the picture like that.   The book, filled with good advice for new cat owners, will be in the stores in May.

Here’s my version of the same picture.

Brittungar, kattungar
