We had so much fun with our photo session on the farm, that we decided to continue the following day. The cows were not the least bit interested in our antics, but horses were so curious that the couldn’t have been better models if they’d been trained.

Trash the Dress, country style
I took these pictures at the end of last summer, but I couldn’t show them until now because they were a surprise from bride to groom on their 10th anniversary. Personally, I’m ever so impressed that the dress still fit! The bride was full of ideas and enthusiasm, and we had so much fun taking these pictures!

Trash the Dress!
Trash the Dress is a style of wedding photography which has been gaining in popularity around the world, and I believe it will soon catch on here in Sweden too. Last week, I had a couple that was willing to give it a try. In fact, they gave it their all. It was two days after their wedding, and the dress needed to be cleaned anyhow. They were totally fearless and also so clearly in love. It was a joy to photograph them.
Despite expecting a baby in a few months, they couldn’t resist climbing in the magnificent oak trees at Knäbäckshusen in Österlen. A heard of cows watched us suspiciously but declined to be photographed.
On the beach, we started out easy with the type of shots that many of my couples don’t mind doing even before the wedding. It was a treat not to have to worry about getting dirty.
The bride’s first step into the water came with that “Oh my god, what am I doing?” look of horror, but it passed quickly, and a moment later she was enjoying herself again. I can imagine it must be rather therapeutic to let go like that.
This was a “surf’s up” kind of day for the Baltic, so I got plenty wet too. Luckily the water was surprisingly warm. Honestly, this was so much fun that I can’t wait to do it again!
