After the portrait session, I switched gears into the wedding photojournalist mode. Now I got to be the fly on the wall, capturing the mood and emotions of the day.
It was a bit chilly, but we were fortunate that it stopped drizzling before the ceremony since it was outdoors.
I really liked their color scheme and elegant table settings.
I don’t really understand this tradition, but I’ve seen it a few times now where a group of guys grab the groom during the first dance, lift him up, take off his shoe, and cut a hole in his sock.
They had a Danish band (with the unlikely name of Miami) which was excellent, and everyone was clearly having a great time.
The photo ops got even better when they passed out the silly hats. This was the first time I’d seen this at a wedding, and I hope it’s not the last because people clearly got a kick out of it, and it made for great pictures.
